Ritz Diner: Classic New American Comfort Food in Livingston, NJ

I will always love the ritz diner and i will return. Today is 2/18/26. A man was arguing w/ the cashier, he was pretty nasty to her and she was upset. I was gonna say something but i did not. PLEASE BE KIND

My family has been driving here from Rockaway (NJ) since the early 2000s. It has been a great diner to grow up in and they always treat us like family. My parents at one point for a while came here every Saturday night for their date night, sat in the same booth with the same waiter (Pierre was the best!), and ordered the same dishes almost every week. It's that kind of place for us. They've also warmly welcomed my husband into the mix and he loves it here too (even tho I joke that the manager Tony is my "diner boyfriend" ). Their portions are huge, their staff is kind. I'll admit they could stand to have some music playing quietly in the background as opposed to nothing (maybe they should add a jukebox!) and their bathrooms are meh. Otherwise it's the perfect Jersey diner for us and I hope we continue to return for more decades to come!

Hometown feel! The servers are friendly, helpful and efficient. The food is delicious and you cannot beat their morning special from Mon -Friday! Two people can have a full breakfast for under $16.00! With the prices, food, and atmosphere, you will feel as if you have taken a small vacation! Go and enjoy!

They do a good job here. The French toast and reuban were good. The German pancake was novel and good in a diffrent way. Gyro was standard

Sunday morning, rainy day...and my thoughts go to Ritz Diner in Livingstone. Easy access location, lovely warm staff and owner, and pleasant atmosphere. The blound waitress went above and beyond to accomodate my order, and the Eggs Bennedict with a bed of ham became Eggs Fiorentine with a bed of healthier sauted spinach. A black coffee got along nicely. What else should I ask for in this relaxed lazy weekend morning? My experience to Ritz Diner is wonderful ANY TIME I have a chance to get there. Delicious food, lovely staff, resonable prices.That's why I want to give credit where credit is due.

The Ritz is a premier NJ diner. I don't know why people are giving it 1-3 stars. The home fries are the best I've ever had. French toast is delicious. Portions are big and everything is high quality.

The real Jersey diner experience, from the massive, oversized, menu featuring hundreds of dishes, to loud waitresses and disco fries. They also have an on premise bakery, which features absolutely ginormous black and white cookies, linzer cookies that can be a dessert for four, and delicious babkas. But, the best dish of all, hidden on the last page of the menu - a corned beef sandwich with 2 latkes instead of bread. It's divine!
